A place you can connect with people you know, and maybe even connect with others through groups; or not, if you’re not into that. It is what you want to make of it… as much as a social site can be. I don’t have any interest in doing anything with algorithms nor selling anyone’s data. This is a place to be free of whatever it is that other sites have devolved into. So come, be yourself and connect.

On kicking around the idea of another site, that very few have ever heard of… someone asked me a question I like to think of: ‘What’s the point?’

For this, there might be several. Most of the reasons stem from a handful of places… places that seem to be overwhelmed with an onslaught of misinformation, division and scams. I want a place free of that. A place where people won’t be bombarded with scams and the endless parade of political attack ads… which you could probably also lump in with scams. I want a place that my mom can go to and not be tricked or scared in either a “news” item or a fake medical scam.

There was a web page long ago that everyone was on… and might have been the first social media site of its kind. Where you could customize your page to an extent and have your music list that you could share. I’m not sure how to go about the music part; but, changing the style of the page to really make it your own, definitely doable. To sum it up; I want us to have our own space, a space to connect, think, organize and not have the weight of all the other nonsense out there; and then, at the end of the day… just live a happier life without the constant terror feed that the algorithms love to feed people.
